Ibis Hotel, Cologne, Germany

I smell like cigarette smoke. Yuck. The man who sat next to me on the train smoked. Yuck again.

At any rate, my train traveled slowly. Too slowly to catch my second train, from Cologne to Frankfurt, so I am staying in Cologne tonight.

The first thing that I saw upon exiting the train station was a mega-huge cathedral (Europe has, hands-down, far greater church buildings than us.)

I walked around, and immediately found an internet café. I emailed Derek & told him about my slight change of plans.

Finally, I stopped at a little pub/bar where I ordered some pickled beef, which was some of the best meat I've ever had. Also, it was relatively inexpensive. My whole meal came out to 23 DM (~12 USD).
