We left our hotel room at 11, checkout time, and drove to Harvard. There wasn't a good place to park so we immediately drove to MIT. I guess you could say that we "broke" into MIT, however there were other people inside as well, and they didn't mind that we were there. Besides, we entered in through the front door, which was wide open.
Once we were on the property, we saw a tree that was apparently a "direct descendant" from Newton's famous tree. Also inside was a really cool model ship exhibit.
We then drove downtown to central Boston and had lunch at none other than Boston Market.
We walked to some famous places, the first of which (I can't recall the name) had a cool monument to the father of our nation. Then we walked to the Bull & Finch Pub, which was the inspiration for the TV series Cheers. On our way back to the car we saw some pretty cool churches.
Our last stop in Boston was the Boston Harbor, scene of the famous Boston Tea Party.
We decided that we just couldn't wait to get to New York, so we drove late into the night to reach our final destination. It cost us four bucks to go through the Lincoln Tunnel, but it was worth it. I personally feel that New York is awesome!
When we got there, we met one of Morris' friends, Julia, at a jazz club called Smalls. It was real happenin'...
Tomorrow we will begin our sightseeing of the Big Apple!
